Morning Skin Care Routine Every Girl Should Know

In this guide, I will walk you through each step of the process, from cleansing to moisturizing, using tried-and-tested products by me. Follow along step by step for a brighter looking skin.

Step 1: Cleanse with a gentle cleanser

Start your morning skincare ritual by gently cleansing your face with a gentle cleanser like CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, Some By Mi Beta Panthenol Repair Gel Cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser or any other gentle cleanser you have. These gentle formulas help to remove excess oil without irritating the skin of its natural moisture, leaving your skin clean and refreshed.

Step 2: Tone with La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water

After cleansing, mist your face with La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water.

Thermal water spray is rich in minerals and antioxidants, providing instant hydration and calming relief for sensitive skin. Pat gently to absorb excess moisture.

Step 3 : Apply Vitamin C Serum

Next, brighten and protect your skin with a vitamin C serum. Vitamin C helps to protect the skin from damage and promote a more even skin tone. Apply a few drops of your favorite Korean vitamin C serum, SkinCeuticals or any other vitamin c serum you use to your freshly cleansed skin, gently massage it in until fully absorbed about 1-2 minutes.

Step 4 : Apply The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Serum

Next step is to apply hyaluronic acid serum, you can use any hyaluronic acid serum you have. I have been using the ordinary one and it helps me to keep my skin hydrated.

Step 5: Moisturize with a Moisturizing Cream

Step 6 : Apply a physical (mineral) Sunscreen

It is best to check the product labels or descriptions to ensure they contain ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, which physically block UV radiation from reaching the skin.

Recommended Physical Sunscreens:

  1. EltaMD UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41: This is a tinted sunscreen with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, giving protection against UVA and UVB rays. It’s oil-free, fragrance-free, and suitable for sensitive skin.
  2. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen: This has 100% mineral UV filters, offers high protection, great for sensitive skin. It’s water-resistant and fragrance-free.
  3. CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30: This has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to protect your skin from sun damage. . It also has with ceramides and hyaluronic acid to hydrate your skin.
  4. Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 50: 100% zinc oxide, this sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast. It’s oil-free, hypoallergenic, and suitable for sensitive skin.
  5. Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen Sensitive SPF 30: This also has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide and is specifically formulated for sensitive skin. It’s fragrance-free, paraben-free, and chemical-free.
  6. Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30: This has zinc oxide and algae extract to protect your skin from sun damage.
