How to get rid of Strawberry legs in few weeks? (Keratosis pilaris)

So lets talk about Strawberry legs; those dark pores like dots pop up on our skin after shaving for sometime.

I’ve suffered from strawberry legs quite sometime now, after treating my skin using the following steps, I was able to completely get rid of the dark spots.

Here are 4 simple steps to help you to get your smooth skin back.

Step 1 : Exfoliate regularly

You can just get rid of dead skin cells and ingrown hairs by exfoliating regularly.

Grab a gentle scrub glove or a brush 2-3 times a week (depending on how sensitive your skin is) and scrub your skin using natural exfoliants like coffee and sugar.

I use two home made body scrubs – recipes are mentioned at the end.

Step 2 : Moisturize Daily

After exfoliating, apply a layer of moisturizer to lock in moisture and keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

Recommended Products : CeraVe Moisturizing Cream , Cicaplast Baume B5.

Step 3 : Shave properly

Proper shaving techniques are key to avoid those strawberry legs. Use a sharp razor and a shaving cream or a oil to get a clean shave without irritating your skin.

And remember, always shave in the direction of hair growth to minimum irritation and reduce the risk of ingrown hair.

Recommended Products: Gillette Venus Sensitive Women’s Disposable Razor , EOS Shave Cream, Coconut, argon , jojoba, Holista Tea Tree Oil.

Step 4 : After treat

After shaving, show your skin some love by treating it with a lotion or a serum. You can also apply natural aloe Vera gel or a moisturizer as well.

Recommended products : Aloe Vera, Rose hip oil, Calendula oil , Lavender Oil and Shea butter or a moisturizer.

Coffee Scrub I use

  • Ground coffee (you can use used coffee as well) 6-7 tbs
  • Epsom Salt – 3-4 tbs
  • Coconut Oil – 2-3 tbs
  • Olive Oil – 2-3 tbs
  • Body wash or body butter 3-4 tbs

Sugar Scrub I use

  • Sugar – 6-7 tbs
  • Coconut Oil – 4-5 tbs
  • Honey – 3-4 tbs
  • Body wash 3-4 tbs

You can change the quantity according to the size of the glass jar you use to store the scrub. I make these as a big batch so I can use for a month consistently.

So there you have it. With these simple steps and products, you will get rid of bumpy strawberry skin and have a silky smooth skin in no time. Happy shaving!
